So my baby turned 1 yesterday. Bittersweet. I can't believe a year has come and gone. He is such a happy, smiley baby. He walked when he was 10 months and hasn't quit moving ever since. He LOVES to eat and still hasn't gained anything for 6 months. He loves balls of any kind. So we did a sports party. We did a combined party for Seth and Parker. But Parker's real bday is tomorrow so I will post more pics of him later. Seth says dad and hi. Can't get him to say mom, he just smiles and looks away. He is such a fun blessing to our family. We absolutely love him.

Parker's 1st time skiing

Wayne took Parker skiing for the 1st time today. They went to Alta and said it was just a beautiful day. Of course I worried about Parker the whole time....is he going to break a bone or loose some teeth. But they had a blast. Parker couldn't stop talking about it and can't wait to go again. Wayne is planning on taking all 3 of them up before the end of the season....good luck to him.

SURPRISE-DISNEYLAND (December)

We planned a surprise trip to disneyland last december. The kids were busy and never saw me bring up the suitcases and pack them and bring them back to the car. We picked up Wayne's dad and told the kids we were going to see Christmas lights. He drove us to the airport and I told them we were going to tour the airport:) We unloaded the suitcases and Parker said, "we don't tour the airport with luggage". I just smiled at him and we went on our way. We checked in, got on the plane and shortly after that, landed in Orange County. Parker figured it out soon after. It took Kendra awhile. They all fell asleep on the way to the hotel so they never saw the big disneyland signs. We got up the next morning and went to Goofy's Kitchen. We were waiting and Brooklynn said, "hey, I've been here before". I asked her where here is and she looked around for a minute. And said "Disneyland". They were all so excited. The weather was absolutely perfect, the beach water....not so much. But still beautiful. We played there for 3 days and then met Wayne's brother, Mark and his wife, Alicia and their 2 kids and played at the beach. It was so fun surprising them, and we loved playing at the beach with our favorite family living in California. We miss you guys.

We went to Lake Powell with some neighborhood families. Wayne hasn't been there since before we were married and I was there one time growing up. The kids had so much fun. The water was perfect. The kids skiied and played in the water all day for a few days. Everytime that the boat started Seth fell asleep and when the boat stopped, he woke up. We took the kids cliff jumping (certainly not too high).

My sweet little girl just turned 8 (well last September) and was baptized. She was so excited and nervous. We shared her baptism with another family in our ward. It was so special and the talks were beautiful. Her uncle Stephen spoke and she really felt the spirit. Her dad baptized her and her Great Grandpa Maxfield and Grandpa Brown witnessed it. I loved watching her sit there and listen to the talks and feel the spirit. She is such a beautiful girl. We came home to beautifully decorated cupcakes that we made the day before and had a lunch with our whole family. I am so grateful our family was there to support her and her decision. We love you Kendra and are so proud of you.

I have gotten way far behind, so here is Seth at 4,5 and 6 months. At 5 months he started rolling over, shortly after that he started sitting up and now at 6 months he is crawling. My baby is growing up too fast. He is the Happiest baby, we just love him.

Herriman Fire

We were driving home from Lake Powell (I will post pictures when we have our computer hooked back up again)Sunday night when we got a phone call saying there was a fire on our mountain. So frantically calling and texting people we had a neighbor run in and grab our computer. As soon as he entered our home, the firemen were yelling at him to get out and off the street. We were still 5 hours away from our home and that was the longest ride home ever. Wayne kept playing it off that we were going to be find and we shouldn't worry. Our neighbor told Wayne that he should worry, the flames are so high, and it is traveling so fast. When we got to American Fork we could see the flames. The kids started crying, which made me start crying, it looked so scarey. We stayed at a friends home and I only slept 3 hours that night. We were just glued to the tv. Finally Monday around 3 they let us up. Every home in our neighborhood was safe but by looking at the maps and the fire line, it's such a blessing. Our home is still standing. We have a lot a smoke damage in our home and sleeping here for 2 nights we are all getting sick. We are working on getting a cleaning company to come out and take care of all this smell. It's so overwhelming. Wayne measured the distance from our home to the fire line and was about 290 yrds (less than 3 football fields, two streets away from us). That is way too close. We just feel so blessed from family and friends and their concerns and prayers. Thank you

We went camping this past weekend and Seth woke up about 630 with so much energy so we went for a walk (just me and him) and took some pictures. I just love how this one turned out.

I can't believe our baby girl is 5 now. It has been so fun watching her grow so much. She just finished preschool and is getting ready for kindergarten. I'm really sad that she is growing up because it's been just me and her for so long. But it is so fun to watch her get so excited for new things she is learning. She loves dress ups and playing with friends. She loves 4 wheeling and swimming. And she just learned to LOVE her bike (still with training wheels). She comes up with the funniest comments ever and her outfits everyday make us laugh. We can't wait to see what this next year brings for her. We love her so much.

Seth is now 3 months old. He is getting chunky. He is laughing and smiling so much, that is when he's not crying (which he still does a lot). Parker and Kendra and Brooklynn have more fun with him now that he is a little older. He's sleeping through the night and has been for about a month now. He is just so much fun and we love having him in our family.

Parker turned 10 on March 20. So this is a very late. I was in the hospital for his birthday and missed it. But I planned it before I went in and Wayne took over. They went to IHOP for breakfast and he ended up with food poisoning. His friends came over and they all went to see Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Parker was in the bathroom a lot. When they got home, Wayne's mom made homemade pizza (which is always the best) but the smell made Parker stay in the bathroom for his birthday. Poor kid. Not a fun way to spend your 10th birthday. Wayne had a neighbor stay with the kids so he could come up and see me for a little bit. But I didn't get to see Parker.
He is getting so big and more handsome every day. He is so helpful around the house on most things, some things take a little coaxing. He loves to play outside, he loves to draw, build things with legos, and tease relentlessly his sisters. He loves to watch MMA (mixed martial arts) with Wayne. He is so happy to have a brother finally. I love him and we are so happy to have him in our family. We really hope next years birthday is a much better one for him.

Seth was born on March 18, 2010. He was 9lbs4oz and 21 1/2 inches. He is such an adorable baby and we just love him so much. Parker, Kendra and Brooklynn love him and smother him to pieces every chance they get. The delivery went good and I'm still healing. He is trying to figure out night sleeping and is getting better (thank goodness). We are so excited and blessed to have him part of our family.

Just to make sure people are still reading. . . After over a year of trying, we are finally expecting our 4th and final baby. When we told the kids, we said we are moving the toy room downstairs because someone else is going to be staying with us and needing that room. They just looked at us and got so excited because they thought some cousins were going to move in with us. We said no and that we are going to have a baby. Kendra and Brooklynn got way excited and Parker said "where are we going to get it from". That's probably a conversation needing to happen sooner than later. We are all so excited. I'm guessing I'm due the end of March ( I didn't keep track of dates last month very well). So I'm about 2 months and just starting to feel sick and I'm soooo tired. It's amazing how much quicker you show on your 4th than on any of your other kids. I guess our trip to California was VERY relaxing:)

HAIRCUTS AND DONATIONS

We had a kid haircut party. Parker cut his long hair (which I miss). We buzzed it for the summer. We cut probably 3 inches off. He was sad to actually see all his hair falling to the ground and can't wait to grow it back out again.

When Nicole was in town she cut all the little cousins hair. Starting with Kendra. She cut 8 inches off and is donating it to Pantene. Which is kindof like locks of love but you only need 8 inches. She was so happy to have it short. It has been a struggle to keep her growing it.

And since Kendra cut her hair, Brooklynn had to. I'm not sure how much we cut off Brooklynn's but it was a good amount. She really likes it short too. But just today she said "mom, I miss my long hair".

CALIFORNIA BDAY

Wayne and I took our 1st trip alone since Parker was only 1 this year for my bday. We went to Disneyland. It was so much fun. We definitely missed the kids because that's a total family vacation but it was nice not to hear "I need to go potty, I'm hungry, I'm tired "every 10 minutes. It was so laid back. Backup-we flew out, well, we arrived at the airport to fly out on the 25th. They wouldn't let us on the plane because my drivers license expired on my bday (the day before) so we had a neighbor friend go to my house and find my ss card and birth certificate and bring them to us. We got on the next flight 4 hours later, but we made it to california. The one lady in SL handing out tickets was the ONLY lady that questioned my drivers license being expired. The security guards didn't care and california didn't care. Then we spent 2 days in disneyland. Sunday before we flew home we hung out at the beach and ate brunch at a mexican restaurant on the beach. I couldn't understand our waiter very well. He came and asked me something and I said sure ( i thought he was asking to bring the check because "check" was the only word I understood), so next thing I know is he is bringing us margaritas. Apparently margaritas are included in the brunch. Wayne laughed at me and told him no thank you. We missed our kids so much but are so grateful for our family that helped us watch them for us. It was a much needed vacation.

It was kind of a busy day. The office planned a lunch and while we were eating, Jared and Nicole came by with the kids. We were just hanging out when Jaren and Britney came by. It was a fun surprise. Thanks guys. We all hung out during lunch. That night we went to Cheesecake Factory, which is always quite the wait. Saturday Jared and Nicole, Jaren and Britney, Jim and Mindy and ALL the kids hung out. We had a good breakfast and spent the day together. It was really fun. Thanks for being such a great husband and dad. We all love you very much.

Happy Birthday Parker. He is so grown up and handsome. He's trying to grow his hair out so it's looking a little shaggy but he is liking it right now. He's way into skateboarding and ripsticks. He still loves school but really hates homework. He is a great helper around the house. He just started soccer again and hopefully wont be afraid of the ball. He invited a few friends and we went bowling. What is it with boys turning 9-everyone thinks they deserve guns. He got several nerf guns and a bb gun (which I'm nervous about). Happy 2009!!! My family and Wayne's family came over for the night. I have to post these pics because we actually got Wayne's family to play rock band. Wayne's mom liked the drums and his sister and Kendra liked to sing. Kendra is our singer for sure. After that we played bowling, which is always fun. Brooklynn almost made it to midnight but Parker and Kendra made it to midnight and then some. Happy New Year Everyone.

For those of you who weren't able to make it, we missed you. We had a lot of fun playing games, telling stories and just visiting. We had pizza and tonz of junk food. We had little princesses running around, some wrestling matches and some tears (from the kids of course). Briggs, Hintons, Hammonds, Stephensons and Us. I'm so glad we are able to get together at this time each year. We feel so blessed to have such made such lifelong friendships. Hopefully we will see more of you next year.

Merry Christmas everyone. It was definately a white christmas. We woke up to a blizzard. My mom and my brother got stuck coming and going from our home.
The kids had a great Christmas. Some of Parker's favorites were zero gravity car, tony hawk skateboard and ramp and a ton of tech deck stuff(he's really into skateboarding right now). Kendra's were barbie house, my meebas, hannah montana skateboard and high school musical dolls. Brooklynn's were baby and all the accessories, princess scooter and barbies. Some of our families favorites were rock band-we have been playing non stop. And we broke down and got a puppy. The cute little thing just does not want to potty train outside-it's too cold. The kids named him snickers. Wayne picked him up before they woke up Christmas morning so it would be here when they got up. They were so surprised. Then we had our usual breakfast. . . cinnamon rolls and fruit. Then we spent a few hours trying to shovel our way out of our 6 foot snow drifts. We had a great Christmas. It came and went too fast though.

New House Drama

Ok, we have had to tell the story over and over so we will just post it.
We weren't really looking for a home but this one just fell into our laps. We looked at it one day and made an offer that same day. The house was on a short sale. The family selling it was also the agents. They asked us if we wanted to use their son to do the financing, etc. . . So we thought we would see what he could do for us. It took him 6 weeks of dishonest things and still wasn't able to get us a loan. He asked Wayne to sign a form saying he didn't own his own practice and that he was just an employee. After that, I called up some friends and they recommeded this company in Tennessee. They were great. I called her on a Monday and by that night we were pre approved and by the next night we had our financing all in order. We were planning on closing in 2 weeks. We went in on a Friday morning and signed our closing papers. They told us the sellers would be in later that morning to sign and we were all set. We went home and moved 2/3rds of our things up to the new house. At 4:59 (this was a Friday) the owner/seller/agent called us and told us there were 2 liens on the house and we needed to come up with $17,000 to close or the bank would forclose. Well, nobody is open after 5 on a Friday. So Wayne sortof freaked out on them, saying that nobody told us this, we already closed and why was it him calling us and not the bank?! I was able to get ahold of someone still hanging around at the bank. He was shocked that the owner/seller called us to come up with the $. It was his responsibility. He said he would get ahold of him and get back to us next week. So, we moved out of the new house and stored things in our garage, at Wayne's dad's and part in the new house garage. So, that night we moved 3 times. Thank you so much to everyone who helped. The owner/seller's wife called Sunday and asked if we could meet to discuss things. Of course we told her no, that is was her responsibility to come up with the $, not ours. So we tried to hold it together through the weekend and not loose it in front of the kids. Oh did I mention we had to be out of our house by the next Friday. If this house didn't go through for us, we would need to find a storage for all of out things, move in with my mom and find a new house. So come to find out there were 13 liens on the house totalling $17,000 and the bank was going to waive most of them and the owner would pay part. Wednesday night-we had the final notice that everything was good to move in and that the sell of the new house was recorded with the county. So Wed/Thurs and Friday we packed/moved and unpacked. The house was 90% unpacked before we left because I did not want to come home to a house full of boxes. Friday night we also packed to go to Disneyland (which has been a long time planned and so needed). We left Saturday afternoon and stayed in Vegas and I will post Disneyland fun stuff later.

We had over 2 months to make the car and of course it wasn't done until minutes before the race. We had to add a lot of weights to the car but it was pretty cool. Parker designed it himself. He got an award just for participating. Mabey next year they wont procastinate so much:)

I'm really late at posting this for her. I wanted to scan more pictures in of her but then we moved and this is the first time I've been able to sit and post anything. Kendra is 6 years old, well actually she turned 16 on Sept 5, I mean 6. Kendra was born on Wayne and mine's anniversary, so she is our anniversary baby. She was our smallest at 7lbs 9oz. She is currently in the 10th % for her height and weight. She has always been very independant and stubborn and fiesty. That's from the Brown's side:) She is in kindergarten and has really been struggling with changing schools. She has a major crush on a 13 year old boy. He is super cute but SHE'S 6!!! She's got us worried. She can't wait until she is old enough to date. She loves to play with Parker and Brooklynn and her friends. She loves to do makeup and pose for pictures. She doesn't let me do anything with her hair anymore, she wants it straight and nothing in it. She still likes to watch cooking shows. When she's not mad that she's not getting her own way, she loves to cuddle up right next to you and kiss and hug you. She is so adorable. We love her to pieces. Happy Late Birthday.

Finally!! We will be moving this next week. We found our home in Herriman. It has 5 bed, 3 1/2 bath, an amazing view. The entire house is finished except the yard. We are so excited to finally be settling somewhere where we will never have to move. We will be closing this friday, it's been quite the roller coaster these past 6 weeks. We will get out our new house and phone info later.

3 years old!!! I can't believe our baby is 3 now. Brooklynn has gotten so big this past year. She is doing everything a typical 3 year old girl does. And loves everything a typical 3 year old girl loves. She plays dressups, loves makeup, loves to wear skirts or dresses. She does not like her hair to be brushed but loves it when it's done. She loves shoes. It doesn't matter whose shoes, she will wear them. She loves to play and run. She runs everywhere. She loves her dad but still refuses to let him do anything for her, she is getting better at some things. She has such a cute laugh and dimple. She keeps wanting to use her left hand to color and eat. Some of her favorite sayings and cute words,"I want to ride in daddy's *!uck(truck),bwankie, maeleys(pig tails), I sweep good(sleep good). She loves all disney princesses and can't wait to go back to Disneyland. She loves to be outside do anything. She had a Dora birthday cake and got so many cute toys. And she loves every single one of them. We were lucky. All her grandpa's and grandma's came over to celebrate with us.

I can't believe it's mid June already. It's been a long time since I've written anything and I promised I would get it done this week. Well since it's been so long, here's a quick update. . .Parker is 8 and baptized, in scouts and going on 3rd grade. Kendra is 5 and learning how to read and going into Kindergarten, finally. Brooklynn is turning 3 this week, I can't believe it. She is learning so much everyday, and her birthmark on her face is almost completely gone. She keeps calling it "my mark" and loves to point out that it's going away.
April-
We were in the process of buying a practice. I started working there April 1, every morning to learn how they do things and just what I need to know. Back up. . .first of all this practice is in Riverton and is such a great opportunity. It has 4 ops and has a loft upstairs (my fave part)that has 2 offices and our lounge area. I can take the kids and they go upstairs and watch TV and I put up a gate so they can never go down and bother Wayne. I spent the last 2 weeks of April on the phone non stop with insurance companies, I am not a fan of insurance companies. It was the biggest pain. There is so much stuff to setting up a practice. Briggs told us how involved it is, I had no idea. Wayne and I were released as ward activity people. I was put in as den leader and Wayne is the Ward Clerk.
May-
May 1st we were official business owners. Wayne still had to fulfill a commitment at his other office for this month, so he was working 6 days a week. He was so drained. And I got 2 migraines in one weekend with all the stress. I was still going in every morning. The kids are doing pretty good but it's getting old being there everyday for them. Near the end of the month I feel it's starting to get under control a little bit. The office staff is amazing. They realize Wayne likes to talk a lot and try to keep him on track. He is so busy. But he likes it, he would rather be really busy than reading magazines like at his old office. Oh and we are official mini van owners. We had to put our explorer to sleep, it was so old and had so many problems. It's really nice, and Wayne really likes it but he wont admit it to his friends:)
June-
Summer is here, well at least it says so on the calendar this month, but it has been so wet and rainy and snowy in the mountains. We actually had some free time to do yard work and plant some tomatoes. Wayne and Parker were supposed to go on a father sons camp out the first weekend in June but they got snowed out:) Brooklynn will be 3this weekend. We were able to hook up with the Briggs at their home and cook out. When we got there Shaun was cooking up some steaks and said that they have had these steaks for awhile and they are pretty tough-thanks for the invite guys. Just kidding, it was so fun to visit with them again. We didn't get home until early in the morning but it was fun.
I will try to be better at writing now that we can breath. Have a great summer everyone!!

Wow, 33!! It seems like we just celebrated his 30th bday in Omaha, NE. His Birthday was actually on the 3rd, I just slacked on posting it. His bday was kind of crazy. He didn't get home until 7 and I had scouts until 730 so after that we went to chilis for a late dinner. I had talked to Shaun Briggs earlier this week to get an idea for Wayne, he got xbox 360 medal of honor. Which he broke in real good this weekend. I don't know how guys stay up so late/early and still function the next day.
We love Wayne so much. He is a great husband and a great dad. He does so much for our family and we are so grateful. The kids love to go on dates with him as often as possible. He loves fishing, camping, bowhunting, golfing, traveling & trying new foods. He strongly dislikes celery & rude drivers.

We are so excited. Wayne is leaving the office where he has been an associate for the past 2 years. It's been kind of like a residency and he has learned a lot and we are so grateful for that. Wayne has a friend he went to high school with, he's a year older. But he has decided to go back to endo school in Florida. He has/had a practice in Riverton, it's been open for 3 years and is doing amazing. He called Wayne a few months back and asked him if he would be interested in buying it. We would have been crazy to say no. So ever since, we have been filling out tons of paper work and getting approved for everything. Everything is going great and we take over May 1st. We are so excited that we don't have to leave Utah and we can stay close to family. Wayne is transitioning into the new office while fulfilling his contract until the end of May. I have been going in and getting trained in office management. The office staff is great and hopefully everything will go smoothly when Wayne takes over.

Wow, I can't believe Parker is 8. Time went by too fast. 8 years ago he became part of our family. He was 9 days over and weighed 9 lbs 4 oz and came out screaming. We can't imagine our life without him. We are so proud of him and all his accomplishments over the past 8 years. He is such an amazing boy.

President Hinkley was such a great man. He accomplished so much. We always looked forward to listening to him and watching him speak. He had such a great spirit was a great sense of humor. I know he missed his wife so much but he continued to the work of the Lord. He will be missed but we are so happy he is with Marjorie again.

This is the 2nd blog today. This has been on my to do list, which never seems to get a dent in it.
Brooklynn is completely potty trained-YA!!! She even gets up during the night to go potty. She runs around naked a lot. She got her big girl bed this week, my grandpa made it for her. Great Gpa was so bored at home so he offered to build it for her, we love Gpa. It is so cute. She hated it for several nights though. She kept saying "I don't wike my bed, I don't want it, I seep in mommy's bed". She is so funny. She keeps trying to say that now but I just say I know hunny, go to bed and she's fine.
Kendra is wanting so bad to play in the snow but Parker can't yet and she doesn't want to play by herself. And it seems all our neighbors have the flu. So she just gets to hang out with mom. She is doing so good in school. She is learning to spell more words and trying to read. We went to a funeral in January and Kendra saw her great grandma crying and she did fine until we got home and then broke down crying because she doesn't want Grandma to die. She kept crying for about an hour that night. I promised we would get over to see Great Gpa and Gma more often.
Holy snow storm this weekend. I went out to shovel before church on sunday and the snow was up to my knees, our front door was covered and the swing set in our back yard is almost covered. It was insane.

Parker's Tonsils part 2

Before surgery. . .
After. Finally calmed down.

So Friday we had to be at the hospital by 6:30 and because of the snowstorm we had to leave at 5:30. And of course he didn't go back to have the surgery until about 8:45. And mabey it's a mom thing but I counted every minute, the DR told us it would only take about 1/2 hour so at the 1/2 hour mark I was even more nervous. About 20 mins later the DR came out and said everything went great. They gave him the gas mask and intubated him (which scares me)-I think I'm too much of a worrying mom. He gave us prescriptions and said we could go back soon, they would call us. Not even 2 mins later they called and told us to go back to recovery. Parker was freaking out. Trying to pull out his IV and screaming that something was stuck in his throat, gagging. He was so figity and cranky. Just seeing him laying in that bed, freaked out - I wanted to just cry for him. It took him about an hour to calm down and start eating ice/popcicles. Finally we got to go home. He wouldn't sleep the whole day, he looked like a walking zombie. We gave him lots of popcicles, and all of his meds. Friday night went fairly well. Saturday night he was up for 3 hours throwing up (I can't even imagine how that feels after surgery in your throat). We quit giving him pain meds, and just stuck with motrin and he is doing great. He is eating really well as of Sunday night. He still puts up a fight with taking his meds. We were really surprised at how well he did.

Parker's Blessing

Sunday Parker started complaining of a sore throat and sometimes you just blow it off thinking it will go away and kids are over-reacting. Monday he stayed home from school but it wasn't until night time that he was crying that it was hurting, but of course it was after Dr's were closed so Wayne gave him a blessing and we gave him motrin and sent him to bed. He woke up during the night crying that the blessing didn't work and now his ear was hurting. We gave him more motrin and sent him to bed again and then at 830 called the Dr to get him in. He ended up with strep and an ear infection (which he hasn't had since he was 2 because he had tubes put in). He told us to call and ENT to get his tonsils and adnoids out. He said "there are big tonsils and there are HUGE tonsils, his are HUGE". So we called and there was a cancelation the next day for the consult. We called to get the surgery set up and they can do it Feb 1. They said he would be down for 10-14 days. We'll make sure to get lots of homework for him, HA HA!!! Wayne talked to him about his blessing and talked to him about what was said. He also said if his throat had gotten better, he wouldn't have had to go see the Dr. and have him see his tonsils to see that they really needed to come out. Blessings aren't always answered in the way we would like them to be. Sometimes we have to be patient and look for the blessings.

It's Potty Time

So Brooklynn is potty training herself. She takes off her diaper and runs for the bathroom. She hasn't had any accidents yet, only in her diaper. But she has been dry more times than wet. She is so proud of herself. We told her, when she is potty trained she can get a big girl bed. She is really growing up.

The end of another great year

It's been quite a year. 2007 went by so fast. This year we did a lot of camping and fishing. We went to Boondocks for the first time. We took the kids to Disneyland/Sea World/Wild Animal Park this past fall. I love visiting California

Wayne is still working for a Dentist as an associate. He has been fishing quite a bit, went on the bow hunt(I think he just likes to camp, just kidding, he really tried to get a dear) and is now attempting to build his own model airplane. He went flying with Shaun a couple of times. He bought a simulator to practice flying, and also bought xbox 360 (peer presure). He went to Las Vegas with his work and saw blue man group and even danced (if you can believe that).

I turned the big 30 this year and Wayne surprised me with a party/get together with our families. He also dropped the kids off with Gma over night and we went and stayed at the grand america hotel, went to Les Mis, went shopping and saw Pirates (all in 2 days). It was a lot of fun. I started working for a lady doing digital work. It's been fun learning new things. I havn't had much time to scrapbook but I was able to get a few pages done. Wayne and I were called as the Ward Activities Committee people and have been running around nonstop since August.

Parker turned 7 this year (8 in 2008). I can't believe how big he is. He has lost 3 teeth, learned how to heeley (which he is quite good at, he still makes me nervous). He still does NOT like going to see Wayne for his checkups though. He is learning to like swimming more. He played soccer, baseball, basketball and wrestling. We probably could have fit more sports in but we needed a break. We took sea doos to a lake and both Parker and Kendra loved it. Parker just wants to do anything his dad does.

Kendra turned the big 5. She is in Preschool again but still loves it. She is learning to write, spell and read. She took Gymnastics this year. She really is quite the singer. She wants to take singing lessons. She still loves the water. I think she was in our small pool this summer almost every day. She went to a little girls spa and had her nails and hair done (which she loved). She still loves to cook in the kitchen with me.

Brooklynn turned 2. She grew a few more teeth this year. She is loving to talk and run and play and be a girl. She loves dressups and watching princess movies. Just near the end of the swimming season, she started to love the water. She learned the word No very quickly and tries to get away with saying it to me all the time. She loves to get dirtier than Parker when we go camping. This was her first year to try sledding and she got more worn out than we did.

The Mateja's and The Davis's spent a few months in Utah and it was fun to visit with them and show them the sites. Brad and Jen Hammond came up to visit for a day and we bbq'd with them, Briggs, and Burdett's. We had another Christmas get together and saw Jared and Nicole, Briggs, Stephensons, Birch's and Jensen's. It's always fun to see friends. We have also gone to visit the Hintons in small town Loa a few times.

We are so grateful for our family and our friends. We have been so blessed this year.

In case anyone is wondering, yes you are getting a christmas card it's just been delayed.

We all had a fun Christmas. Christmas Eve, we made cookies for Santa and the kids slept until 8:30 Christmas morning.

Parker's favorites - he got a small remote helicopter, a remote dinosaur(which is way cool), nintendo DS with a mario game(which he shares with me quite a bit), and a BYU jersey.

Kendra's favorites - Island Barbie, Barbie car, Barbie horse, Bride and groom Barbie (is there a theme here?) oh and nintendo DS with a barbie game.

Brooklynn's favorites - Elmo (all the way), oger babies (ugly things but she loves them), princess babies.

Brooklynn's "Flies"

Before I start into the story you need to know that for some odd reason, Brooklynn calls her bugers "flies". So we were driving together the other day and Brooklynn says "Mom, look at my flys" so I turn around only to find her picking her nose and showing me her "flies". Kendra, so calmly and not cracking a smile says to her "Brooklynn, don't eat your flies". It was the funniest thing. It's good to have kids around that can make you laugh everyday.

Wheeler Farm

Halloween was fun and exhausting. Are costumes a ton more $ this year or is it just me? We carved our pumpkins Monday for FHE. Wayne of course did a tooth, I did a funny scarecrow face, Parker-a bat, Kendra- a cat and Brooklynn-a smiley face. Parker is in a new school this year and the principal decided no costumes. Which I don't think I liked. He was a green skeleton. Kendra was able to dress up for preschool and she was a witch princess, but wouldn't wear her hat. Brooklynn was little red riding hood. Brooklynn's little legs went a lot further this year and she absolutely loved trick or treating. We dropped Wayne and Brooklynn off and I took the other 2 kids around a little bit more, they could have kept going for a long time.

Gopher Issues

Ok so I went outside a few weeks ago and there was a small little hole in our yard. I called the maintenance people and they told me to go buy some bait. Well of course I didn't and today when I went outside there are several holes and dirt mounds from this obnoxious critter. So I got online to see what I can do and it says "Dig a hole 6 inches deep and buy a gopher probe and probe underground until you find the start of the tunnel. Once you find that stick 2 traps down there." Ya right. Who in there right mind is sticking their hand down a gopher tunnel to set traps. It also said that if there are mounds in your yard they are probably getting ready to nest. So we may have a hole fam damily of gophers soon. I called the maintenance people back and said that they better come out or they wont have much of a yard left. And of course they havn't come out yet. Oh well.

Well I finally gave in and Wayne got an xbox 360 and halo 3 and has spent several nights playing live with some of the old gang. I don't know how they can stay up so late. He went fishing last week and said it was sooooo cold but has never caught so many fish. I'm taking his word on it, I have yet to see pictures. ha ha.
The past 2 weekends have been cold and snowy. The snow doesn't last more than a day and it's only enough for the kids to play for awhile. During the week it's 60-75 and nice. Although the mountains look pretty. The tops are covered in snow and the bottom half is still the fall red and orange colors.
We went to Gardner Village last week. If you havn't been there, they decorate this little village of shops with all these witches and pumpkins and it's fun just to walk through it. The witches scare Brooklynn but Parker and Kendra love to see all of them.
I've put off costumes long enough, I think it's time to go shop for them. They know what they want to be, I just need to do it before all that's left is getting a sheet and putting holes in it for a ghost.
I know most people don't want to think about Christmas yet but if you are coming up to visit we want to do another Christmas party get together like last year, it was fun.

We just returned from our California trip. We left a week ago and didn't tell the kids until we were about 4 hours into the trip. They were so excited. We drove all day Thursday. Friday, we went to Sea World. Which is amazing. The kids loved it so much. Kendra is our water bug and cried when she got splashed by Shamu, and Brooklynn usually hates water and laughed when she got splashed by Shamu, Crazy. They loved to pet the dolphins and the bat rays and watch the shows. We got the kids a Shamu stuffed animal and Brooklynn kept kissing it. We packed snacks for lunches just to not have to pay a ton for food in the parks and when Parker was talking about what we were doing the next day he brought up that we weren't going to eat lunch because we didn't do lunch at Sea World, we thought that was pretty funny. The next day we went to Wild Animal Park, which is not our favorite. It is way to long and just not enough variety of animals. So we will hit the zoo next time. Then on Sunday we just hit a lot of beaches on the way to Aneheim. We went to Coronado and ate at BJ's at Lagoona (which is our favorite pizza place ever) and then went to Newport. They love the beach. Then on Monday we did Disneyland. We only did 1 day there and that is not enough. It just seemed like a big amusement park and they didn't get to see hardly any characters. Which makes Disneyland Disneyland. So next time, at least 2 days there. The best part was at the end of the day when they had the parade, the kids just loved it. Brooklynn kept saying thinderella (cinderella). And Kendra and Parker just loved all the characters. Jaren and Britney Jensen hung out with us at Disneyland. It was so good to see them again. Their kids are getting so big. Tuesday we got packed up to come home but we stopped in at the Jensen's for breakfast and then headed out. We made it to Las Vegas and visited with Mark and Elizabeth Mateja for dinner at their new house. It was really fun to see them also. We made it home by 3am and Wayne had to be to work by 7am. He was so tired. We did a lot on our trip but it was fun. We decided to try to make it there every other year. Mabey we could try to plan a big Disneyland trip in a few years with other families, that would be so much fun.

Wow, the first 2 weeks of September were quite eventful. Kendra turned 5. We tried using the "you cant cry about things anymore because you are 5 now", it only worked a few times. I can't believe she is 5 now. I don't feel like my kids should be this old already. She also had her first day of Preschool. And she loves it. YA!!! Three times a week. Wayne and I celebrated our 10th anniversary. I can't believe it's been 10 years. That's more than anyone on my side of the family except my grandparents. It's hard to imagine not being married to him and not having our kids. And I love him more than I did 10 years ago. He's a great husband and a great dad.
We also had our first ward activity that we were in charge of and it went great. We had more than half the ward plus some inactives. Now on to the next activity-the christmas party.

Finally, I got this blog thing figured out. Thanks everyone. I can't believe August is almost over. I just love fall time. This summer has been fun but crazy, we havn't done much but we've been going and going.

Wayne has been spending lots of time camping before and after the bowhunt. Nope, he didn't get anything yet. He has been spending most of his other spare time fishing. And then the rest of his spare time with his family. We are still trying to make him a partner with the Dr he has been working with for the past year, it seems to be quite a process.

Parker is in year round school (which I absolutely love). He is in 2nd grade and 7 years old. He rides the bus to school and loves it also. He is a procrastinator when it comes to getting his homework done (he gets that from his Dad). But he loves art, math and reading (he doesn't get that from either one of us). He loves to play outside with his friends and his sisters. He loves to fish with his dad and is picking up the fishing lingo. The other day he came home and told me they went fishing on the south side of the Provo River. It was quite cute.

Kendra will be 5 on Sept 5 and also starts preschool on her bday. She is so excited. This will be her 3rd year of preschool because she misses the deadline by 4 days. She has tremendous mood swings already. But she is so fun. She loves to play, she struggles with Brooklynn because Brooklynn has the same fiesty-ness as Kendra and they don't mix well. She loves gymnastics and dance but really wants to play soccer. So we might have both kids in soccer lessons this fall.

Brooklynn is 2 1/2 and it shows. She is talking so much. Our favorite sayings are oh farts (flip flops) and for truck she says a really bad word - *uck (she can't say the tr so she has a real potty mouth on her already). She loves her Kaker Bown (Parker Brown) and KK (Kendra Kae). She is trying to say prayers with us at night now which she loves. She lives in her swimsuit and some days we can get her to put a dress on over it. She loves her dad but REFUSES to let him put her to bed.

I'm at home with my kids all day and most days really love it. They keep me running all day. Parker is off school in Sept, so we are planning a surprise trip for the kids to CA and do Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Beach and Disneyland. They really had fun in CA last year so we are combining a family trip and our 10 year anniversary trip. It's going to be fun. Our ward just split so Wayne and I are the ward activity coordinators. Our first activity is in Sept and we are doing a potluck tailgate party. Hopefully it turns out ok. I'm still trying to get my diaper bag business going, it's slow going. I have finally pulled out all my scrapbooking stuff and I'm actually doing things. Hopefully with this blog page I will be better at keeping this updated, we'll see.
